Hello there,
Hope you are doing well. Since you mentioned that you are preparing for CLAT,I'll mention some important points that you should keep in mind while reading The Hindu newspaper that will aid in your preparation.
1) Filter out the important topics from the newspaper , relevant for the exam .
2) Always focus more on National and International concerns , like new policies taken up in the parliament , the Acts and etc. Sont get involved in the local or state news .
3) Now most importantly, the editorial tips . Read the editorials very Carey as they will enhance your reading speed which is very much required in CLAT and also make notes of all the important information given in the editorials . Filter out new words and phrases from the editorials and research on the topic after reading .
By doing the above you'll be able to make and present you own view points .
4) Also keep notes of current events like legal developments, bills, awards ,major decisions and etc.
SO, these were mainly the points that you should keep in mind while reading the newspaper.
Hope my answer helped.
