How to train up for neet examination
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
hi sabari, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, try to prepare in a way that you can pass your boards and concentrate more on neet, its easy to pass boards if you know your concepts well, i will tell you how to prepare
Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too
Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck buddy
You shouldn't feel low cause others will be in exactly the same situation and they will also have the same time as you so don't feel discouraged and give it your best possible shot.
At this time try to cover 12th syllabus as per NEET requirement this will also prepare you for the boards too. Along side solve MCQ of previous year papers.
For biology you can manage to read both volumes of NCERTs and make sure revise it until you can retain each word and each line of it. Side by Side you can solve questions from MTG or Trueman.
For organic chemistry both 11th and 12th syllabus are corelated so you can't expect to understand property 12th class syllabus until you have strong grasp on 11th class basic concepts especially general organic chemistry. so go through 11th organic now and then cover 12th too before boards.
For physics read both volumes of HC verma for concepts and solve problems from DC pandey.
Again for books this is my opinion, but you can go for others too that suits you better.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
GOOD LUCK for exams.
1) read NCERT without fail ( maintain notes especially for organic chemistry like a list of all special reactions )
2) make flashcards with formulas and a representative diagram along with it
3) try to learn organic compounds especially chemistry in everyday life with diagrams of polymers ( circle for benzene , make specs shape etc and try to name it )
4) for physics solve h.c. Verma ( beautiful representation especially for mechanics and force )
5) do a lot of worksheets ( will help u combine concepts )
6) make your own formulas for routinely asked questions
7) solve high weightage chapters routinely
8) solve while traveling etc too easy chapters
9) use time efficiently
10) sleep adequately
11) I had this technique ( it worked for me) everytime I entered the kitchen , room , bathroom etc I used to say a specific reaction or formula .. That way I could revise without books , without any stress ... If I forget I used to go n check it then only ..
All the best !

Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.
Try to clock 100 hours a week.
Maintain your health
Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.
Form a study group, discuss with friends
Stay motivated.
No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.
Donot waste time, invest time.
Revisions are the most important
It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.
The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,
For biology, refer the following.
1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2
2) Dinesh- Objective biology
3) Pradeep publication Biology
4) GRB'S Publication Biology.
For Physics refer to he following books.
1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.
2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.
3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker
4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov
For chemistry you can refer the following books
1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry
2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry
3) Modern ABC's of chemistry
4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry
5) Dinesh
Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.
In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts
Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!
