Below is the sequence of steps which you have to do:
On the JoSAA portal fill-in the Bank Account details to which the seat
acceptance fee shall be refunded and upload an image of canceled
cheque of the same account in JPG format. Then download the
withdrawal request letter.

Withdrawal of seats will be open for all selected candidates before the final round of JoSAA seat allocation 2019. To withdraw the seats, the candidates will have to report to their nearest reporting centres. After withdrawing their seats, the candidates will not be able to eligible for any more rounds of allotment. Those candidates who withdraw their seats will be refunded the seat acceptance fee after deducting Rs. 1000 as processing charge. Withdrawal of seats will not be allowed after the final round is conducted. To exercise the withdrawal option, the candidates can follow the given steps:
Candidates will be required to fill their bank account details to which the seat acceptance fee will be refunded in the JoSAA portal. An image of the cancelled cheque of the same account in JPG format also has to be uploaded. The withdrawal request letter has to be downloaded, printed and signed by both the candidate and his/her parent.
Next, the candidates will have to go to the reporting centre with the withdrawal request. If the candidates does not report at the centre, then the withdrawal will not be processed.

Last Round to withdraw a seat allotted through JoSAA is the 6th Round. You have to simply fill up a form. This form can alsobe downloaded from the JoSAA Business Rules directly too. Firstly, go to the reporting centre and tell them that you want to withdraw your seat. They would ask you to fill the same form (I have mentioned above). On filling the form, your responsibility doesn't end. You will be asked to upload a scanned png image of a Cancelled Bank Cheque of the same amount you have paid as fees at your end to complete the procedure entirely.
