In PU chemistry department is good and the exams are difficult and competitive you've to work a lot to get degree.The quantum chemistry course is the only good thing about the department which is extremely helpful for students interested in theoretical chemistry.

How bad or good depends on a course you are going to opt for. Otherwise, if you only talk about PU, I would say it's the best place to study.

For MSc chemistry you have four semester and 2yrs course. For master's you have project also so your studies also more. But every University or college have 5days class in a week. Monday to Friday but you are a master's student so sometimes you go for college in Saturday for your project purpose. Now you have generally one day full holiday. You can go with your friends.

But you also go with your friends in week days if your college will over. Study and hangout Management totally depend on your schedule.
