How wave theory fails to explain the photoelectric effect?
Hi there,
In this experiment more intensity is more energy, but in thia experiment different intensities give electrons of same energy.
If wavefront carry energy then large number of electrons should be emitted but it is not happening here.
If frequency of light is less than threshold frequency then no electron will be emitted whatever is the intensity of amplitude.
There is no time gap between ejection of electrons and light.
Due to wavefront there must be a time gap.
Hope it helps!
