How's Haldia Institute of Technology for CSE and IT... And how are its placements?

Keeping CSE in mind let me put some light about HIT.

• College Life : Well i give HIT 9/10 for college life experience. HIT has one off the best campus in West bengal . And it gives you the experience of hostel life , which i think is a must to go through . In this hostel life you will make a lot of memory which you will cherish for lifelong.
• Placement( 7/10) : This college gives you decent opportunity to get placed in well known IT companies. If you are even average at study chances are you will get a JOB from the college. And if not there are still multiple options open for you outside the college.
• Extra- curricular Activities (8/10) : They have enough things to keep you busy if you are interested. Examples are Annual tech fest/Cultural fest.Also there are several communities working on different areas, you just have to find your interest.
• Education system (5/10): Well if you are thinking of getting high quality Teachers or Lab standards in any of State level Engineering college then you must be fooling yourself.Teachers are average here, well there are exceptions. It all depends on you in study part .. but one thing is for sure that you can’t rely on the college teachers if you really want to learn computer science.And more or less situation is same in every state level college.
• College Environment (6/10) : Well HIT has a mixed kind of environment . There are groups which are focused in study and also some other which are involved in fighting & Raging. You will get to see every thing which you have heard about engineering college. From high level competition winner, pro Counter Strike player to chain smokers every damn thing is available there(at-least it was during my time). So it all depends on you how you adjust yourself there
