Hello,
ECE is a branch where you will study about core electronics subject whereas ECM is a branch where you will learn a lot about computers. In todays world computer is a dream for every engineering aspirant, so if you follow the same zeal than it is the branch for you rather than CS. But in Thapar, Ece is mostly preferred as ECM is a branch which has been there from the last year i.e 2015 in reference to the TRINITY COLLEGE OF DUBLIN. Till now, placements havent been taken place for ECM so nothing can be said about the branch but in the other hand ECE has a good placement record at Thapar. So, in this absolute cracker of the branch the choice depends on the student.
