To be eligible for the NDA exam, candidates must satisfy the age criteria. Candidates age must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years. For NDA 1 exam, candidates must be born on Or between 2nd July 2007 to 1st July 2010. For NDA 2 , candidates must be born on or between 2nd January 2008 to 1st July 2011.

The age eligibility for 2026, for both Male and female candidates, is that they must have been born between July 2, 2006, and July 1, 2009, in order to sit for the NDA 1 exam. Male and female candidates must have been born between January 2, 2006, and January 1, 2009, in order to sit for the NDA 2 exam.

To be eligible for the National Defence Academy (NDA) 1 or NDA 2 exams in 2026, you need to meet the following criteria:

Age Limit :

For NDA 1: You must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years old as of 1st January 2026.
For NDA 2: You must be between 19.5 to 23 years old as of 1st January 2026.
Given that you were born on 5th May 2007, you will be 18 years old in 2025.

so, you are eligible for NDA 1 in 2026 but not for NDA 2 due to the age limit criteria.

NDA NA 1 2025 is for training commencing in January 2026 and NDA NA 2 2025 is for training commencing in July 2026.

Education-wise, the eligibility is that approximately a month (exact date will be mentioned in the notification for the relevant batch) before that date mentioned, you should have proof of passing 12th in hand to be submitted to authorities.
