Surely it is normal. A 1 year gap for your future is completely normal. Also, it does not matter whether you are a dropper or a fresher at the time of placements. So can freely go for a drop if you think you will be able to study that much. Just stick with a strategy and you will be able to qualify the exam with good marks.
