It is too early to speak about 2022 because we are talking about something that might happen in 3 years from now. MCI which stands for Medical Council of India has been replaced by NMC which stands for National Medical Council. And NMC did propose scrapping of NEET PG in favour of a more friendly approach called NEXT. In this, Candidates will be considered for PG admissions based on the marks scored in their Graduation instead of an Entrance examination. And NMC has decided to allot 3 years to come up with the guidelines and implement it. This was proposed in 2019 and so we do not know whether it would be implemented in 2022 or not. The guidelines need to be formed and the eligbility criteria needs to be designed. We need to wait for official information regarding this.
