see currently you are doing a government job, now see ugc net score is evaluated for recruitment of lecturer or professor in govt as well as private institute. so if you want to switch to teaching profession , you may study for ugc net.

now coming to wbcs, exam is quite hard and have to prepare for one year, however the compensation is good and have excellent opportunity for graduates as well as commerce graduates.

however wbcs exam preparation is tougher than ugc net, but you have to decide what you want after clearing these exams, so take your decision accordingly. see none of the competitive exam is easy, you have to study sincerely along with your job to crack the exam.

Whatever course or field you choose if you enjoy working in the same, then automatically there will be an interest and an inherent desire to do better, give your best to it, now WBCS is mainly an administrative career and on the other hand qualifying UGC NET or state level level SET in west bengal is better choice if you have inclination towards university level teaching, , both these domains are good enough in their own ways, you are the best judge of what interests you have, and nothing is easy, you have to work towards excellence, but yes if you choose a field or career which you find interesting enough, you will anyway enjoy doing it wholeheartedly, just don't follow the trends, do what you intend to do, you have to put in efforts in whatever exam you choose to appear for, whether it's WBCS or UGC NET, in brief if an administrative career is your choice go for the former, in case your passion for teaching is more dominant go for UGC NET.
