You can give exam at any age above 17 as there is no upper limit criteria for this.

You can appear for NEET exam if you are a Citizen of India, Non-resident Indian (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and foreign national.

For pursuing any medical course in India, you need to give NEET exams and clear with decent score.

Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET but only for assistant professor and not for junior fellowship.

This is because,

With 44 years, you exceed the upper age limit of 31 years in order to be eligible for Junior Research Fellow but eligible for assistant professor because there is no upper limit for the same
