Dear Student,

You join Indian Air Force depending on the education qualification which is completing 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as complusory subjects scoring an aggregate percentage with a recognised university . You can opt for any graduation course in science stream to get into the Indian Air Force. However, If you wish to Join Indian Air Force just after completion of 12th std , then you need to appear for the NDA examination conducted by UPSC. According to Datas there is no restriction on your degree. You can study any degree you like and it should be from a recognised university.Better go for science stream subjects like bsc physics, Bsc. Computer science,Bsc. Electronics, such degrees.

Since you want to serve in Indian airforce particularly, it is good to do b.tech as a graduation which as more scope to get into airforce.

But have mentioned that you are not interested to do b.tech.

So I suggest you to not get into b.tech if you are really not willing to do b.tech,because it will harder to you if you dont concentrate on it.

And moreover b.tech is not a simple task compare to other graduation courses.

So you can also try for other technical graduation streams other than b.tech which has decent chances to get into the AIRFORCE.

So please think about your future and decide.

Please Note that this 2 methods are only for boys .

Mode of Entries for 12th Students passed/appeared students:-

1) NDA (National Defenc Academy).

2) TES (Technical Entry Scheme).

NDA: is conducted by UPSC twice every year probably in the months of april and september, notification for which are announced in employment news.Candidate you had passed class 12 (Any subject) can appear for Army wing of NDA, Candidate you had passed/appeared class 12 (PCM) with at least 60% aggregate can appear for Navy & AIrforce wings.

Age limit- 16 1/2 years- 19 years.

TES: Candidates who have passed class 12 PCM with at least 70% aggregate can find direct entry to defence after cracking a small entrance conducted by Defence service itself.Notifaca are announced in employment news.

Age Limit: 17 years- 19 years.
