I am a B.com graduate.How do I start my preparations for CAT 2017 from july without taking any coaching ( only through self study) ?

If you want to prepare for cat then you should maintain the time table and you can refer few books.And for the same Career 360 degree have published one article " how to prepare for cat and they have mentioned few book* and that such a knowledge full article with lot of inputs.

Now look there are 22 quants chapter in CAT syllabus u need to cover .
So I would like to suggest you start with
1.numbers 2.progression 3. Binomial theorem 4.permutation combination
with in first month with religiously grasping the concept as well as daily 100 mints of work out with different questions of level 2 & level 3 type questions.
NB :- atleast read speed math formulas for shaping ur brain towards mental calculation.
Later period try to cover 2 chapter per week (try to figure out co related topics) so that by the end of October you may complete the syllabus with 270 degree view . Rest 90 will grasp by taking mocks in the whole November month .

Try to finish the editorial page of the Hindu with in 45 min . (Don't worry if you don't understand the context) this practice will help you to gain a grip of 250+ word per minute of speed reading with in a month of religious practices .
Don't bother about rigid timetable. Just keep in mind that you need to practice whether it's your study room or be the rest room.
"Give some time to the time, time will definitely return you at an appropriate time".
Just 2hr of intensive study will ample your grip on this section.
Di & Lr
This section need not to bother about if you are strong enough on speed math .
Keep practicing weekly 5-6 hour at convenience time you will train your brain act according to the flow of questions as you are proceeding in examhall.
So daily 6 hr of fun making studies and one month mock test practice will stand you around 90+ percentile in your final cat .
Don't worry about low score on initial days of taking test.it will overcome as you spending more time with it .
Focus, determination, hard work are the key factor of success. Keep going .
