Masters in health care administration or Master of Health Administration (MHA), is post graduation course which includes management of hospitals and other health organizations, public health consulting and infrastructure.
It is of 2 years duration, divided into 4 semesters each of 6 months duration.
ADMISSIONS: They begin in April and stretch upto August, while the course starts in September every year. Admission into such institutions is merit based. A few institutions organise entrance examinations for admissions into this course.
SELECTION: Is a 2 step process. Firstly, based on performance in qualifying bachelor degree examination and secondly, based on entrance examination.
DIRECT ADMISSION: Is usually merit based, requiring a minimum of 50% marks in all the subjects of bachelor's degree of the candidate.
DISTANCE MODE ADMISSION : Some institutions also offer distance mode of education for MHA that usually starts in the month of May.
