There are no IAS course as a degree. To become an IAS you need to qualify UPSC CSE examination. Now the eligibility criteria for UPSC is that you must have a graduation degree. As a result you can do your graduation in any subject of your choice provided you must be interested in that subject. See to become an IAS your UPSC preparation must be very good. So if you study a subject which you are interested in then you will not get frustrated and as a result you can focus more on your UPSC preparation. Also if UPSC is you sole target I would recommend you not to go for HOns courses until and unless you are ready to handle pressure. UPSC it self have a lot of pressure in its preparation and Hons courses will need more time. So if you are thinking of starting preparation with your UG course then I would say its better for you to go for General courses.
