i am a bsc first year student in mathematics, How should i prepare for IIT JAM physics?

IIT JAM entrance exam is conducted for admission to M.Sc. and above postgraduate programmes in 20 IITs and IISc Bangalore.
The syllabus for IIT JAM Physics covers the topics from the following units:
1. Mathematical Methods
2. Mechanics and General Properties of Matter
3. Oscillations, Waves and Optics
4. Electricity and Magnetism
5. Kinetics Theory, Thermodynamics
6. Modern Physics
7. Solid State Physics, Devices and Electronics
Go through the syllabus, exam pattern and refer to the books for the preparation. Make a time table, try solving previous year question papers, give mock tests for better time management.
