i am a bsc medical student and i want to do interior designing. what should i have to do?
Hello there,
I hope you are doing well. About your question, first I would like to say a BSC in medical has absolutely no link to interior design. They are 2 completely different streams itself. So you will have to start from scratches.
To get into interior design, you will have to apply with your 12th class merit.
Eligibility is :
- You can apply for a course in interior designing if you have completed Class 12 from a recognised board.
- Many colleges have additional eligibility criteria like they want students who have studied Mathematics and Physics as a full-time course or as an additional subject.
That is the basic requirement for any student.
Most of the well know institute's will admit students based on entrance exams. You will have to apply for an entrance exam pertaining to your state.
Note: Different colleges will follow different criteria for entrance exam. Some colleges may conduct their own entrance exam, while others may follow a national level or state level. So check which college you wish to go and accordingly check what is their criteria.
I have listed a few entrance exams for you.
- AIEED
- Pearl Academy Entrance Exam
- GD Goenka DAT
- SEED
- CEPT Entrance Exam
- NID Entrance Exam
The above information is for an undergraduate course,
There are many courses like:
- Short term
- Diploma courses
- Undergraduate course( BSC)
- Post graduate courses ( PG)
Choose the course that you are interested in. Bsc courses will deal in depth of interior designing while short time courses will help you to just brush up the concept on interior designing.
Hope this helps all the best!!
