I am a B.Tech graduate. Having 67% in X, 59% in XII and 61% in engineering. I am SC also. This year I didn't get well in CAT. I am willing to give a year gap for my preparation. If I give a year gap is it hamper my next year's admission to a good college or for future placement?

Hello Madhushree

As you mentioned your academics score,it is below than average and also you dont have any work experience. So,I would suggest you to give CAT exam next year. But i would also suggest you to do some job with preparing for CAT,because along with percentile and academics marks, your job experience also matters,so it will be very beneficial for you to do some job then go for CAT which will be a plus point for you. Also it will not create any hindrance next year if you do some work in your gap year.

Hope This Helps

Best Of Luck!!!

But, if I started my job this year I could not provide 1year experience while filling up the CAT form. I have 6 months of experience till August and then I have given a break for my studies.
