I am a b.tech graduate. I want to go for MBA from TAPMI. What is the CAT Cut-off score the college is accepting?
A Graduate Degree with not less than 50% marks
Exams:
CAT 2017, XAT 2018 & GMAT
TAPMI follows a profile based shortlisting consisting of valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores + work experience + academic profile.
Written Ability Test + Group Discussion + Personal Interview.
Final Selection
CAT/XAT/GMAT scores + WAT Score + GD Score + PI Score + work experience + academic profile.
Cutoff : CAT 85 Percentile and XAT 90 Percentile. Profile based calls to candidates with experience greater than or equal to 12 months.
As you have work experience so for you CAT cut off is decided in profile based. That means according to your work experience and your overall profile your cut off varies. Generally the range of cut off remains from 85-90 percentile.
If you clear the 1st stage cut off then TAPMI follows a profile based shortlisting consisting of valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores + work experience + academics profile i.e. 10th 12th and graduation percentage.
After that GD, WSAT and interview round is done and finally a final merit list is taken out on the basis of parameters such as CAT/XAT/GMAT scores + WAT Score + GD Score + PI Score + work experience + academic profile with different weightages.
As you are starting to prepare for CAT 2018 so you will have lot of time aim for a high percentile.
All the best!!
If you are nearing 2 years of work ex then we shortlist based on Profile. Still for people with work ex it is 80 percentile otherwise for freshers it is 90 percentile.
