I am a class 10th student. want to know about undergraduate business management courses in IIMs and other reputed colleges. what is the admission criteria and entrance exam. How can I prepare for these.
Hello,
Among all the IIMs, IIM(Indore) and IIM(Rohtak) offer five year integrated course in management, this means combination of BBA along with MBA.
Eligibility is passed 10+2 from a recognized board having mandatory 60% in 10th as well as 12th, for SC/ST/PwD it's 55%.
Admission is done through entrance exam named IPMAT which is further followed by written ability test and personal interview. This year the exam pattern has gone through a change which I have mentioned in a detailed manner below-
- The entrance test is conducted for a duration of two hours carrying 100 questions in online mode, there are mainly two sections Quantitative Aptitude has MCQs and Short-Answer questions with each having time bound of 30 minutes carrying 20 questions for MCQs and 10 questions for short answer, and Verbal Ability(MCQs) carrying 30 questions are to be answered in 30 minutes.
- For each correct answer, four marks are awarded.
- There is negative marking scheme, for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted except short answer of quantitative aptitude section which doesn't carry any negative marking.
- The syllabus of Quantitative Aptitude consists of Number System,Percentage,Sequence and Series, Simple Interest and Compound Interest,Profit, Loss and Distance,Average.Equations,Time and Work,Ratio, Proportion and Variation,Time, Speed and Distance,Geometry,Coordinate Geometry,Mensuration,Probability,Permutations and Combinations,Logarithm,Matrices and Determinants
