I am a commerce student My main moto is to become an ias officer. With this condition i want to keep some backup options for me.So what should I can keep options?
Hi Bhavarth,
It's really good that you want to keep a backup option while preparing for civil services. Since you belong to commerce background you can go for graduation in commerce or any subject which you'll take for IAS exams. Later, you can also go for higher studies in the same field. Following are few courses to opt for:
- Bachelor of Commerce
- Bachelor of Arts
- Bachelor of Business Administration.
- Bachelor of Business Studies.
- Bachelor of Computer Application.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
Good Luck

So, I would like to tell you to focus on UPSC preparation first and try your best to qualify that for that you must do graduation .
And if you are doing graduation many employment opportunities are already there for you.
- You can go for State level PSC exams like BPSC, UPPSC etc .
- You can go for SSC exams.
- You can go for Banking jobs.
- You can go for higher education in Commerce and then become Lecturer or Professor.
- You can be Market Researcher.
