I am a Commerce student without maths and I want to become a architectural designer..what should I do?
Hello there
As you haven't studied mathematics in your class 11th and 12th so you cannot pursue architecture. The students are also allowed from commerce stream when they have Mathematics as one of their subject in in their intermediate class. As Architects need to have a good understanding of math in the field of geometry so in most of the institutions ,there is a minimum eligibility criteria that you should study mathematics in your plus two class.
According to the Council of Architecture, maths is an essential subject to apply for Bachelor of architecture and doesn't matter whether you have studied physics, chemistry and mathematics that is from science stream in your plus two class.
I hope it helps you!
Thank you!
Hello,
To become an architect a candidate should prepare for NATA and appear in it after completion of class 10+2 or while appearing in 10+2. Students are required to score a minimum of 40 percent in NATA ( National Aptitude Test in Architecture). Candidates should have passed class 12 with PCM subjects or should have passed 10+3 diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. As you are a commerce student you are not eligible for NATA. You can complete your 10+2 level with PCM in NIOS to be eligible for NATA. Please click the below link to know more about NATA.
