Hi,
Yes, you can attend JEE Advanced after double drop but before that you have to clear JEE Mains. I want to inform you that the number of drops you have taken has nothing to do with your eligibility for jee mains or advanced, it doesn’t matter.
However in order to be eligible for jee advanced you need to have qualified jee mains with a score above the qualifying marks.
So this year if you have cleared jee mains then you have a chance to sit for JEE advance.
You can definitely appear for the examination because the exam requires no such criteria and if you score well you can even get into a good college. Some problems may arise during the placements because few companies have policies where they disqualify drop out students like Honda. And even if companies don't have such policies they are definitely going to grill you about it but you can easily get through if you have a reasonable answer. So don't worry just prepare well.
Hope this helps.
All the best
Hello Aspirant,
See as you are going to complete your double drop in the year 2022 means you had passed your class 12th in 2020. Now as per the eligibility criteria of JEE-Advance, any candidate is allowed to appear for maximum of two consecutive years which includes first year as his/her passing year of class 12th. According to which you were only eligible for JEE-Advance 2020 and 2021 so now you cannot appear for JEE-Advance 2022 whether you had appeared for JEE-Advance 2020/2021 or not but yes you can appear for JEE-Main 2022 because JEE-Main 2022 would be your last attempt. But there are some eligibility criterion which you need to satisfy in order to appear for JEE-Main :-
1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.
2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.
3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.
So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.
