Yes, you are eligible to apply for aeronautical engineering through lateral entry.
The eligibly criteria require candidates to have passed Diploma in Engineering / Technology course of 3 years or more (after 10) or 2 years (after 10+2) from AICTE recognised University.

Hey!There
Yes,you can pursue Btech from HIET Chennai through lateral entry but you must have full filled other elligibility criteria for having admission in HIET CHENNAI through lateral entry..

Yes you are eligible for aeronautical engineering , you will get admission in 2nd year as a lateral entry and You can also acquire degree if you clear exams of aeronautical Society of India.
And there are very less number of seats in colleges so you have to decide and fill the forms as soon as possible after colleges announce for admissions.
