Hello !
It's never too late to start.
The most important thing to do is to prepare a standard and smart time-table for yourself and follow the schedule strictly.
Here are some of the strategies to clear JEE mains :-
1.Start your preparations with NCERT books - NCERT is the most important book to cover. Clear all your basic concepts in Physics,Chemistry and Maths from NCERTs. Most of the questions in JEE Mains are asked from NCERT books. However NCERTs have some difficult concepts as well which will take time. So you can prefer Pradeep's Fundamental Physics and Chemistry for 11th and 12th for easy understanding.
2.After NCERTs and Pradeep, start with H.C Verma in Physics and give mock tests. In case of Chemistry you can go for GRB publication books.
3.For Maths, after NCERT,try to finish the important chapters from R.D Sharma or the chapters in which you are good from R.D Sharma. Since R.D Sharma can't be finished easily in short span of time. So go with the chapters you can do well or the chapters which will cover important topics.
4.Give a lot of mock tests and revise well before the exam.
5. Subscribe to a good coaching centre. Appear the mock tests they provide regularly. Clear your concepts and ask doubts to your mentors or go for online clarifications of doubts. Prepare well from the materials they provide you for the preparations.
6. Check last 5 years JEE questions to understand the pattern and difficulty level. Determine your weak and strong areas from these papers. Prepare accordingly.
Have patience and study calmly. You can do it . Perseverance and determination are highly recommended.
All the best !
Dear Aspirant,
See to improve through any situation , one needs to identify the drawbacks and mistakes.Identify what is the reason behind it - you lost the grasp of subjects , syllabus OR you lost the exam temperament OR else what happened. Try to improve the major areas, look at all your previous mock papers mistakes , try to rectify those.
Give as much mock test as you can, check which areas you are lagging in.Improve those.Strengthen your Strong subjects.Practice a lot of questions. Even if you are trying some questions of any subject do them with a timer, this would help you get comfortable with time pressure in exam.
Also upon analysis you would realise that some questions you would have wasted much time, in this time you could have done other questions, try to dodge those questions which you are uncertain about.
Try to solve all JEE Mains Question papers of these all 3 sessions and previous year, and see what questions are repeated or how can make a strategy according to what suits you the best.
