i am a married man ... my father income is above 8 lakh ... but my family income(my income and my WIFE income) is less than 6 lakh .. can i eligible for EWS???
hi,
see the ews , economically weaker section criteria is as follows:
- Candidate's annual family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
- Their family must not own more than 5 acres of agriculture land.
- The residential flat area should be below 1000 sq ft.
- The residential plot's area should be below 100 square yards if in a notified municipality sector.
- The residential plot's area should be below 200 square yards if in a non-notified municipality sector.
now see if you meet the above criteria including land property and flat area criteria you are eligible to apply for ews. ews category candidates has nearly 10% seats reserve for higher education admission in govt institute as well as government vacancy.
See as per the rules of EWS its stated that the annual family income from all sources must be less than Rs. 8 LPA. Now as you live with your family and as your parents are alive, the all source income is exceeding 8LPA as a result you won't be eligible for the EWS. Although I would recommend you to talk to a lawyer who are accustomed with the affidavits submission and proper articles, they can guide you more accurately.
The eligibility for the EWS certificate are:
- The annual income of the family of candidate should not exceed 8lakh per annum.
- The family should not hold 5 or more than 5 acres of land.
- The family shouldn't have a residental area more than 1000 sq feet.
I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
