I am a married woman. I want to apply for EWS. My husband's name is not included in my ration card, only me and my parents. Will my spouse's income be considered?
Shreedevi, once your marital status changes from Single to Married, your Maternal Income is not considered as your family annual income. If you live with your husband, and their income also is included in the Family maintenance, then yes your his Income and Assets will be considered as family income. And for being eligible for EWS reservation, you should belong to General Category and your annual family income including all the Family members shall not exceed 8 lakhs per annum. Because you are married, your Father and Mother's annual income shall not be accounted for to consider your eligibility for EWS reservation.
