I am a muslim girl who wear hijab or shawl. Is wearing shawl permitted in CAT examination hall? It will be very inconvenient if wearing hijab is not allowed

Hello Ansha,
As per the instructions released by IIM Kozhikode, it says candidates should not wear any jewellery or materials containing metal, jackets and footwear in the examination hall. Also, candidates aren't supposed to wear clothes with pockets. I am sorry to inform you that wearing shawls is not permitted as they might tell you to remove it. This is illogical how can anyone tell us to remove our hijab ...it is our right to wear hijab and they can't take away our rights from us ...if they wish the females can check Muslim women when they come 15mins prior to the time of examination and check us personally but they have no right to destroy our religious sentiments that when it is something compulsory in our Islamic religion.
Sikh people are allowed in examination hall with their turban and kara then why not the hijabi muslims ?
