I am a Nepali medical graduate.Do i need to fill the basic registration for aiims through embassy or can i do it online?

The embassy will surely come into play when you get accepted for the institute
Mean time i recommend you to go through the online procedures and fill up the application system. After applying and giving the desired examination and getting qualified do contact the embassy for all the necessary details regarding VISA too

Dear Yojana, if you are enquiring abiut AIIMS PG for July session, you can do it online on your own. The embassy gets involved for Visa Purposes after you get a seat. The Basic registration purpose is to check if your application meets the basic eligibility criteria. Once your basic registration is accepted, hen the final registration process will begin. Once you qualify the exam and you get a seat in the counselling process, you will have to get in touch with the Embassy for the next procedures.

I asked because most of the people in my country have submitted basic registration form through indian embassy. But the embassy closes the date 14 days before the final submisison date of aiims pg.

The previous session's prospectus doesnt mention anything as such. However let me double check that for you please.
Yojana, The Govt. of India nominates Foreign Nationals under Self financing foreign candidate and Foreign Candidate under General Cultural scholarship scheme. That might be the reason. I would suggest you to reach out to AIIMS helpdesk but meanwhile complete your Basic registration on your own with one email id and send another application through the Embassy with another Email id so that you dont miss the chance. Because the prospectus doesnt mention any specific procedure for foreign Nationals.
