I am a PCM student (CBSE board).My subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Maths,Physical education and Painting (additional). If i get less marks in any one of the subject i.e. physics, chemistry or maths, will it be replaced with painting ?? According to Cbse's best5rule .rule.

Hello

Yes , according to CBSE's Best 5 Rule , if you have five main subjects and one additional subject , then the marks of the additional subject (Painting, in your case) can replace the lowest-scoring subject only if it is not a compulsory subject for your stream.

For PCM students, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are mandatory for most entrance exams and higher studies. If you score low in Physical Education, it can be replaced with Painting but Physics, Chemistry or Maths cannot be replaced if they are compulsory for your academic path.

However, if you fail in one of the main subjects, the additional subject may replace it for passing purposes but not for eligibility in PCM based courses.
