i am a pcm student of class 12 how can i apply for the admission in du for ba in order to become an ias
Obviously yes! But there will be a disadvantage
of 2.5% from your aggregate percentage
calculated by taking best four of your subjects.
But if you have studied history as an optional
subject, as some of the schools or colleges
provide it then no marks will be deducted as
such.
Also you don't need to take admission into DU to prepare for IAS. you can take into any Institute and have some good coaching for IAS.
Hope it helps
Dear Harsh, the procedure of applying is same as that for science courses. You have to fill the online form and create your I'd. After that you have to fill your academic details, upload photograph, signature and at last make payment. As soon as the cut off releases and your best four aggregate lies in that range you can apply for that particular college.
Now the main point arises. Since you are a PCM student and you want to persue BA then there will surely be deduction of min 1% and max 5% depending on the college in which you are applying. Generally it's 2.5% of the best four aggregate.
For example your best four aggregate is 92.5% and you want admission in BA(Hons) Economics then there will be deduction of 2.5%. After that your affective aggregate will be 90%.
All the best
Hope this helps
Hello Apirant,
To qualify the IAS you don't have to take admission particularly in DU in BA you can get admission in any university still you will crack the exam. If you want to take admission in DU irrespective of your stream you have to go through the entrance exam.
Good luck
