I am a PCMB student. Please guide me which is a better option for me from the following courses on the basis of their job opportunities

All these undergraduate engineering degrees are good and provide a lot of opportunities in the future but it mostly depends on how you perform in this field.

1.B.Tech Agricultural Engineering

It is a 4-year undergraduate course that deals with the application of technology in agricultural practices for better food production. Agricultural engineers work in Agri-business sectors, food processing units, agricultural research and development field, government sectors etc. There are many government and state institutes that provide this degree on the basis entrance examinations.

Jobs in the field of agricultural engineering are Food Science Technicians, Agricultural Technicians, Food Scientists, Agricultural Research Scientists, Assistant Agriculture Engineer (AE) and Sub Engineers, Agripreneurs etc.

2.B.Tech Biotechnology

In this course, concepts of biological sciences and engineering are together studied for the development of agricultural, medical and microbiological fields. Almost all prestigious engineering institutions of India (such as IITs, NITs) offer this degree. Biotech engineers work in pharmaceutical companies, government & private research lab, analysis laboratories, agricultural research lab, clinical research bodies, corporate field etc.

Jobs in the field of biotechnological engineering are Biotechnologist, Quality Control Officer, Medical Scientists, Biological Technicians, Biochemists and Biophysicists, Biomedical Engineers, Microbiologists, Epidemiologists and so on.

3.B.Tech Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering is one of the most popular branches of engineering. it is based on the fundamentals of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Chemical engineers work in the Chemical, petroleum and petrochemical industries, biochemical, biomedical and pharmaceuticals industries, minerals processing and related industries, environmental protection, natural resource utilization and the energy sector, consultancy, research labs. As I said, since the course is so popular, all top colleges offer this course.

A graduate in this course could be Chemical Engineer, Chemist or Material Scientist, Chemical Technicians, Nuclear Engineers and so on.

Hence, each and every field has a plethora of jobs and is best in its own way. However, how well you are in your academics will determine your job opportunities. Therefore, first, figure out in what subject you have more interest and then plan accordingly.

on comparing those courses, biotechnology and chemical engineering will be best choices.both disciplines are having good scope in india as well as in abroad too.it is my suggestion only,the decision is upto you And make sure of your own interest .because every branches of engineering stream will have it's own benefits.
