Hello Arulmani,

In order to be a domicile of a state you should have a domicile certificate.

In order to aquire a domicile certificate, you should produce last 10 years electricity bills or property tax bills stating that you have been residing in Tamil Nadu for the past 10 years. If somebody from your family is still living in Tamil Nadu and can provide you the following documents, you can secure the domicile certificate of Tamil Nadu but in that case you cannot apply for the domicile certificate of Maharashtra.

Hope this answers you!

Thank you!
