Hello Beenaluke,
The maximum attempts for appearing NEET UG exam is 3 was given by CBSE!
So a normal plus 2 candidate used to take single attempt every year till 2018.
From the coming year i.e. 2019 ,NTA is conducting NEET twice a year. So this 3 -attempt rule no longer applies now ! So you can attempt as many times as you can , provided you stay within the upper age limit :)
Also, For unreserved candidate it is 25 years of age (upper age limit)
For reserved candidate it is 30 years of age (upper age limit)
And yeah You can either appear once or twice ,If you score less in Feb ,then you can go for May,anyways the better score would be considered! So it is your choice, so choose wisely when to appear !(Ofcourse you can appear twice)
Hope this helps you !
All the Best !
Thanks & Regards,
SIRISHA SANATHA.
