I am a PWD Candidate. In order to get 1 hr extra in jee adv, do i need to send the letter to chairman of nearest coordinating IIT via post or Do I need to upload the filled letter online during registration?

Hi Aspirant.
Candidates who are suffering from 40% or more disability (specified disability) as certified by the certifying authority can claim for benefits from JEE Main 2022 reservation criteria.
A few of the specific disabilities are mentioned below:

Blindness and low vision

Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness,

Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy

Deaf and hard of hearing
Multiple disabilities
To Claim Reservation in JEE:

The very first step that candidates have to take is filling the JEE 2022 application form which requires them to fill in various details including the category under which they fall. They are not required to provide the category proof at this stage. So, if a student misses on selecting the correct reserved category, the authorities do not accept further claims.

At the time of JEE Main counselling , candidates will be required to produce certain documents including that of category certificate.
In case of PwD candidates, this is the document required:

Disability certificate issued by the competent authority in case of Persons with disability.
