I am a student from Gujarat. I have my OBC caste certificate but I don't have Non-Creamy Layer certificate. I want to apply for government medical college under state quota. Can I apply under OBC quota?

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you no you can't be considered as OBC student as you do not have OBC non creamy layer certificate as getting OBC quota this certificate is mandatory without it you wil be treated as general category student. Creamy layer students are the one whose parents are earning more then 8 lakhs per annum.

Hi

No, you are not eligible for obc reservation if you don't belong to non creamy layer.

This is because,

in NEET examination there is 27% reservation for OBC but this reservation is only for OBC NCL i. e non creamy layer

The reservation policy on the page number 21 of neet Information Bulletin 2020 mentions this you can check it by downloading the PDF for which link is provided below
