Hello,
it is advised to read NCERT which is prescribed by NTA board. NCERT is considered important as most direct question are asked from the book. Concepts are easy and you will learn easily. due to this, it is important to read NCERT line by line and not skipping any thing. Not even example or end chapter excersies.
After NCERT, question bank books are needed to practice as entrance exam paper will have numericals more than direct questions. for this, you have to practice questions.
chapters have easy concept and not lengthy. You will catch it fast. Academic books of state board have big and deep theory. It doesn't have question bank so you will get to know different cases.
if language translated question bank is available then you can prefer it. try to go with english language it will be easy for you to understand the question. if you will confuse in question then your answer will be wrong.
Anyway , language is not barrier. if you can solve question accurately then you can go for it provided you get resource and question paper in tamil. to overcome these issue, practice alot so that you will know where you can possibly make mistake while understanding questions.
Hope it helps!
