I am an aspirant for CAT 2020, my name is Prerna....Kindly pls respond as soon as possible....I am NC OBC student...please let me that is it necessary to upload the caste certificate attested by DM in the format it is given in the cat website or we can upload the certificate that I got from govt.

If your certificate satisfies the following conditions, then you can upload it.
- The certificate must have been issued by competent authority.
- The name of the caste and caste number should appear in the certificate
- The Ministry's resolution/order number should be available
And the authorities competent to issue the certificate are: District Magistrate /Additional District Magistrate /Collector /Deputy Commissioner /Additional Deputy Commissioner / Deputy Collector / I Class Stipendiary Magistrate /City Magistrate /Taluka Magistrate /Executive Magistrate / Extra Assistant Commissioner /Chief Presidency Magistrate / Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate /President Magistrate /Revenue Officers not below the rank of Tahsildar /Sub Divisional Officer of the area where the person and his family normally resides /Development Officer
