I am an English honours and have'nt done Post graduate in my subject,rather i want to pursue post graduations in History which was my Elective subject in Graduation...now i want know if i can do Post graduation in History with 55℅marks then can i be able to appear NET exam on History???

Hello,

Yes, you can appear for UGC NET in History if you pursue your master's degree in history from a recognized university securing 55% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, candidates are also eligible to apply in their final year, for this year the upper age limit for JRF is 31 years, however for the post of lectureship there is no upper age limit, you can explore more detailed information about UGC NET by visiting our page at https://competition.careers360.com/exams/ugc-net

Hi

Yes, after post graduation in history, you Will be definitely eligible for UGC NET for history, it doesn't matter even if you have done graduation in English hons.

This is because,

For ugc neet, you can choose your postgraduation / masters subject.

UGC NET eligibility criteria  is given below :-


---------) You need at least  55% marks in your master or equivalent degree ( 50 % marks for

OBC/ST/SC/PWD/Transgender).

---------) Those who  are currently in the final year of their Master's degree are also provisionally eligible for UGC NET 2021 provided that they must fulfil above educational requirements  within two years.
