I am Bangladeshi, I am married to Indian spouse, I am doing MBBS from Bangladesh, can I give fmge exam after getting Indian citizen ship ?
hey did you find some way to give fmge in india
Hello Shabanrza,
To take FMGE, you need to be an Indian National/Overseas Citizen of India. As you have mentioned, you are a citizen of Bangladesh and married to an Indian then you are not eligible for FMGE and you cannot apply for OCI card.
If you can want to apply for Indian citizenship then you can do this as per the Indian Citizenship Act (1955), a person who is married to a citizen of India and is ordinarily resident of India for seven years is eligible to apply for Indian citizenship.
You have also mentioned that you are completing MBBS from Bangladesh then you can check the options available in the country.
In case, you wish to practice PG medicine from India then you will be considered as a foreign national and you can seek permanent/temporary registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI). Also, your medical school should be listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. You can check there as MCI recognized universities/colleges.
