To become an IAS you have to give the Civil services exam conducted by UPSC every year. The minimum eligibility criteria ot give cse is that you are undergraduate. It doesn't care about which course you had done. All the graduate students can give UPSC CSE only if they fulfill the criteria of number of attempts and caste and age. The CSE consists of three stages .
- The Prelims exam
- Mains exam
- Personality exam or Interview
You have to clear all stages in order to become an IAS officer. For this you have to study according to the syllabus of CSE. For Mains exams, you can opt your optional subject according to your undergraduate degree.

Even if you are a Bipc student you can still opt for IAS as your career. You must be knowing that UPSC is the national level entrance exam through which one is selected for different posts of importance such as IAS, IPS, IFS, etc.
The best thing is any stream student can apper for UPSC it doesn't matter if he/she is a science student or arts student. Now upsc is one of the toughest exams to crack, so you will have to prepare very well for it.
Eligibility criteria for UPSC :- age should be between 21- 32 years relaxation will be provided to reserved category. Candidates must have graduated in any discipline. So you will have to complete your graduation first.
UPSC rounds :- The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is conducted in three rounds viz Prelims, Mains and Interview round. The Prelims is an objective-paper round consisting of two papers General Studies and CSAT.
