Hello,

The new education policy, NEP 2020 for short, introduces wholesome, flexible, and skilloriented education for the people of this country. Its emphasis would be more on the development of thinking skills, creativity, and multidisciplinary learning compared to just rote learning. For the class 10th students, it offers more flexibility as the concepts would be understood, and the exams would play a secondary role. Continuous assessments would form a greater role in the assessment process.


One of the most important changes is the change in the board exams, which makes it softer and bases it more on application than on mere recall. This might reduce pressure on the students and enhance the general performance of students.


Another impact is that vocational courses have been included at school levels for pursuing various subjects of interest to them, which may lead to better alignment of academic paths with personal strengths.


Perhaps at first the most cryptic, these changes aim at the betterment of learning outcomes: Students will be more prepared for college and careers in more meaningful and practical ways.
