You cant attempt CAT this year unless you r fill the application form by 26th Sept 2018.

You definitely have chances to get into any of the IIMs provided you perform very well in CAT examination.
Being a fresher does not reduce your chances to enter into IIMs. Infact, graduation in B.Sc Physics will fetch you extra score for academic diversity. In case you are planning to give CAT 19, I would suggest you to focus on CAT preparation and score as much possible in your final year of graduation.
Most of the IIM's these days tend to also focus on extra curricular background of the students.
The factors which govern your selection in MBA are the written test (for ex-CAT, XAT etc.),class 10 and 12 marks,graduation marks,work experience,gender and PI.
As it can be seen that profile building is very important due to the all important PI round.
Also,being a fresher can also prove to be a disadvantage.
However,do keep working .Sometimes,an exceptionally high CAT score can pay rich dividends.
Also,try to do a few internships or courses as you have to build your profile and compete with the best.
