I am btech chemical engineering from nit srinagar. I want to pursue masters from USA. I have looked into it and shortlisted 2 universities, sjsu and Santa Clara University. Which one is better option for ms chemical engineering?

Hello Aspirant,
These both universities are in California bay area. SCU has better ranking but it's expensive. Sjsu is one of the cheapest universities in that area and not far behind in rankings from SCU.
If someone is to see your profile in future and you attended sjsu, he'll think that you could have done better maybe but didn't have resources. But in case of SCU, he'll think you had resources (money) to attend better colleges but couldn't get admission so you got stuck in SCU. Opinions may vary. But if you think ranking is all that matters, then go for SCU.
