i am completing BCA and also i have 3 years experience in TCS so which best for me mba in finance or mba in HR
Hello,
Doing MBA in any specialization depends on your interest only as it is going to help you succeed in your career. Since you have worked in a IT company and have studied BCA so you have a analytical bent of mind which is required in Finance so you might not face any difficulty in studying it.
Finance profile requires skills mentioned below:
Analytical skills, Mathematical skills, Logical thinking, Time management, Problem solving.
whereas for HR profile skills are People Management, Communication skills, Observation & Listening skills, Negotiation, Innovation, Emotionally Strong.
Finance would be good for you.
Hope you make a wise choice!
Good Luck
Hello Sonali,
MBA in finance and MBA in human resources are two very good options if you're aiming for a career in management. Since you have a three year experience in a good company like TCS, you have an added advantage which can serve as a catalyst for you to get admission into a good college like XLRI, IIM A, IIM B, IIM C etc. Many people opt for general management, because it helps them choose according to the situations. MBA in finance has a lot of job opportunities at the entry level too. There are jobs which are offered straight to freshers. However, if you go for HR, at the entry level you need to work hard and build your contacts. However, HR managers have a long term advantage when it comes to job security, salary and others. Average Salary for an HR manager in India is around 6- 12 LPA and for MBA finance professionals, the figures are 7-12.75 LPA. So, you can choose according to your comfort. However, I think MBA in finance would be a better option for you.
Thankyou
