i am confused between NDIM and UPES? which one to choose for mba, plz suggest me!!
Let's compare UPES and NDIM for MBA on the basis of three key factors - Academics, Placements and Infrastructure :-
1. Academics -
UPES provides MBA in 8 different specializations which are rarely available in other b-schools. The traditional specializations such as Human Resource Management etc. are also offered here.
NDIM offers PGDM course which is equivalent to MBA (as declared by AIU). The course curriculum competes with the best b-schools in the country. Its PGDM programme specialization covers major areas in Finance, Production and Operations Management, Marketing, Human Resource Development, Media Management, International Buisness, SCM, IT, Digital Marketing and Buisness Analyst.
2. Placements -
In 2019, UPES achieved 94% placements. A total of 585 recruiters visited the institute. The highest package offered was 23 LPA and the average package was 4.35 LPA. Out of 3101 students, 2223 students were placed.
For the school of Buisness, 97% placements were recorded. 572 students out of 591 were recruited by around 150 companies (like Reliance, Accenture, adani, Nestle, Amazon, Berger, ITC Limited, JINDAL etc.).
UPES also has tie-ups with International recruiters. It is also ranked among the Top 15 MBA institutes in North India.
If you want to get a good ROI, you can pursue its domain specific MBA in Oil and Gas, Power Management or Energy Trading. Impressive placements and CTC are offered in these sectors (the highest CTC for 2019 being 20 LPA).
Coming to NDIM, it has been awarded the Best B-School in India for Placement Services by ASSOCHAM. Its claim for 100% finest placements has been verified by Advertising Standards Council of India. Last year, 11 students were recruited at an annual highest package of 16.1 LPA and the average package offered was 6.5 LPA. Many new MNCs are added each year in the recruitment process, with more than 250 companies (like Deloitte, OYO, HDFC, TATA Motors etc.) recruiting at its campus every year.
3. Infrastructure -
UPES has a nice campus and a well equipped infrastructure with all the necessary facilities.
In NDIM, the campus has all sorts of facilities. It has fully centralised air conditioned infrastructure. The classrooms are also equipped with modern projectors, mics and podiums.
*UPES comparatively has more expensive courses with the best ROI only for Oil/Gas/Power domain. But overall curriculum of PGDM course offered by NDIM is better from a future perspective at affordable expenses.
So, based on all the above factors, you are suggested to go for NDIM (Tughlakabad Campus).
I hope this answer will help you.
