To get into Police as IPS officer you should clear IPS Exam held by UPSC. The eligibility to apply for this exam is any graduation approved by UGC. As you have done Science in Class 12, you can go for course of your interest in your Higher Studies. You age must be between 21 and 32.

The procedure occurs in three stages: Preliminary and Mains Exam, and Interview

Questions come from history, politics, current affairs.
