I am currently in 11 th std. (pcmb) I want to be a doctor and then clear upsc. what is the suitable strategy for it??

To become a doctor you need to clear Neet entrance examination.

To prepare well for neet follow the below mentioned tips


  • Give priority to ncert:-To prepare for neet exam first of all go through ncert to clear your basic concepts and around 90 % questions in neet are based on ncert , also focus on diagrams while going through NCERT Biology and go through all the solved and unsolved questions of NCERT in Physics and Chemistry.

NCERT Biology Class XI and Class XII "- Master it as around 95 % questions in neet biology are based on ncert , also focus on diagrams while going through NCERT Biology.


NCERT at your fingertips by mtg :- best for practicing MCQs for your neet , it has chapterwise notes as well so good for revision too


Trueman biology :- good for understanding topics which are difficult to understand from NCERT


Also go through Neet Previous year chapter wise book by Arihant for each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology


  • Practice questions after finishing each chapter you should practice numericals and mcqs and keep revising your concepts at regular intervals, like once in a week or 15 days . You can make short notes for quick revision of important concepts and formulas


  • Make routine or timetable :- you can make a routine as well and try to give at least 8 hours or more to study , your routine should revolve around things i.e study, revise and practice


  • You should practise at least 80 to 100 numericals and mcqs in Each chapter


  • Solve previous year questions


  • once you are done with the complete neet syllabus go through mock test papers .

  • Revise :- there's no point of preparing for the exam if you couldn't recall anything in the UPSC Examination so you should stress on revision as well.


  • Solve previous year question papers and mock test papers ;- You should solve these , it will give you idea of types of questions asked and their difficulty level and will help you a lot.


  • Also work on your communication skills and personality development as it plays an important role in your interview round

Dear Aspirant,

The first thing you should consider is moving in steps, so the first step is becoming the doctor.

To become a doctor you must follow these simple steps:-

1. Check out the syllabus and structure your preparation, made a plan on how you're going to cover the syllabus.

The best thing to help you in this is coaching material from some good institute. They have their material prepared according to the need of the Exam.

2. When the plan is ready,make a schedule. Remember timetable matters a lot for this one year. Be ready to give at least 6 hours per day for the preparation.

3. Solve the questions from question banks and previous year NEET papers.

4. Repeat these steps. Follow --> Learn --> practice.

5. Also keep on revising the stuff every third week. It is also a very crucial step in your preparation.
