Hey Ahad!

As you are currently studying B.com(Hons), I would suggest you to get few years of work-ex in India. Or, appear for CAT. Later on, you can apply for your executive MBA, in case you plan to do so from Abroad. The major reason behind this is that all the top colleges like the A+ listed ones in the UK like Oxford, Durham or even in the US like Wharton or Havard prefer people with few years of work-ex before joining GMAT. It's compulsory. So, you can do your MS in Marketing or Finance from these top B-schools, not MBA. So, get a few years of work ex after your graduation then go ahead with GMAT. Prepare well and ace it. Best wishes!

Hi Ahad Ansari,

As per the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the eligibility criteria for GMAT exams have not been officially stated. The institute or university in which the student is seeking admission may have certain eligibility criteria, and they may vary across universities. However, the basic eligibility for GMAT exams are as follows:

Age

You must be at least 18 years old. Those of you who are between 13 and 17 years must get a written proof of permission, from a parent or legal guardian in order to appear for the GMAT exam. There is no upper age limit to take the GMAT exam.

Educational Qualifications

You must have an Undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized board or university. There is no upper limit of educational qualification apart from graduation, if you are interested in appearing for the GMAT exam.

Nationality

As far as your nationality is concerned, there are no restrictions and hassles. You can be from any part of the world to be able to take this test. Some of you might be thinking that the eligibility criteria for the GMAT exam vary across countries, but this is not true. The rules and eligibility criteria are the same for all candidates from any part of the world.

Number of Attempts

You can take the GMAT exam as many times as you want. However, you can take the test once every 16 days and no more than five times in 12 months. If you have previously achieved a total GMAT score of 800, you must wait at least five years, before reappearing for the GMAT test again.

Now that we’ve had a reality check, it’s time for you to pull up your socks and give it your best shot!

Hope this information helps u

All the best!!!
